| About Penwith
|
|
| Penwith is found right at the very western tip of Cornwall,
and has Penzance as its main town. It is a ruggedly beautiful area, with
strong connections to tin mining.
Penzance is found on the south coast of Penwith, and has much to offer to the tourist. It has a compact but diverse shopping area, offering a wide range of choice. The town also plays host to the Scillonian passenger ferry terminal and the Isle of Scilly Heliport.

St Ives is a bustling tourist town which manages to retain
its old fashioned Cornish charm by way of its narrow cobbled streets and
artistic connections.
A haven for surfers and artists alike, St Ives has much to offer, whether it is sightseeing you are looking for or an active day's surfing. Nearby Carbis Bay is home to one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in Cornwall, and is an ideal place for a relaxing day on the beach.
|
| Lands End is one of the most famous landmarks in the
United Kingdom. Stunning cliffs face onto the Atlantic Ocean, and on a
clear day, you can see the Isles of Scilly, 28 miles to the west.
Parking facilities have been provided, and, on the site, there is a visitor centre, a children's playground, a hotel and various other attractions for you to enjoy, whatever the weather. Just north of Lands End is Cape Cornwall, a beautiful outcrop near St Just, and one of only two natural capes in Britain. Other places of interest nearby are Porthcurno, with the Minack Theatre, and Zennor, with its beautiful church.
